Orlando

Disney World, great weather, and exciting events

Orlando is called "The City Beautiful" for good reason. Sunny beaches, great year-around weather, and a plethora of first-rate theme parks and activities make Orlando a very attractive destination for groups seeking a fun-packed vacation.

Orlando is probably best known for its dizzying array of world-class theme parks including Disney World (which employs over 50,000 people), Universal Studios, and Sea World. When budgeting, remember that theme park entrance fees can be expensive (a 1-day ticket to one of the major theme park is nearly $60 for adults and $50 for kids 3-9). Multi-day discount passes are sometimes available. Also, consider getting a FastPass to avoid huge ride lines. Schedule theme park days off to rest your feet and ease your budgetary strain. You can also save money by trying to limit the number of meals you have in theme parks.

The fun extends well beyond the theme parks. Orlando offers great dining, fantastic shopping, and golf. Orlando also plays host to huge events such as a New Year's Day college football bowl game, a rodeo, and a 15-stage rock music festival. Central Florida boasts warm beaches for soaking in the sun, plus fishing and boating activities in the more than 300 lakes, springs, and rivers. Numerous parks and gardens offer lots of walking and hiking trails. The wildlife sanctuaries and zoos are full of Florida's animal inhabitants like dolphins, alligators, grey foxes, and bald eagles.

We recommend that you research Orlando attractions and activities and make plans that best match your group's interests, schedules, and finances. If planned well, you're sure to create a satisfying and exhilarating trip to Orlando.
